Jessica leads the strategic and operational delivery of MDC’s Syndicate programme, as well as driving other external engagement activities to create impactful collaborations focused on areas of medical unmet need.
She is passionate about driving the adoption of innovative approaches to cross-sector collaboration and patient involvement in medicines discovery. Jess has a track record of establishing and leading cross-sector consortia and has played a leading role in developing the team’s strategy and portfolio since joining MDC in 2018.
Prior to joining MDC, Jess led a national collaboration at the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) aiming to reinvigorate academic pathology and was responsible for the management and implementation of NCRI strategy, working closely with its partner organisations including charities and research councils. Jess has worked across pharma, charity and not-for-profit sectors and holds a BSc (Hons) and MPhil in Cell Biology and Molecular Cancer Studies from the University of Manchester.
