2018 BioInfect Conference

Our Head of Virtual R&D, Graeme Wilkinson, will be attending.

Antimicrobial resistance is an increasingly serious threat to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society. BioInfect will look at the critical issues relating to the development of new anti-infectives and the endemic problem of resistance.

Antimicrobial resistance threatens the effective prevention and treatment of an ever-increasing range of infections caused by bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi and BioInfect will analyse the implications that is being felt the world over.

The cost of health care for patients with resistant infections is higher than care for patients with non-resistant infections due to longer duration of illness, additional tests and use of more expensive drugs. Without effective antibiotics, the success of major surgery and cancer chemotherapy would be comprised.

Join Bionow and experts in this field to discuss this complex problem and the challenges ahead.
