Human Knock Outs

Genomics England and the UK Pharmacogenetics & Stratified Medicine Network are running a joint Human Knock Out workshop on 9th October in Finsbury Square, London.

The format of the workshop (10.00-16.30) is for speakers to introduce the latest research into human knock outs during the morning session, then invite ~40 thought leaders from across all sectors (industry, academia, healthcare and regulatory sectors) to discuss and offer solutions to the following challenges:

  • UK resources to facilitate research into human knockouts
  • Industry perspectives on research into human knockouts
  • Ethical and social aspects of research into human knockouts

Findings from the event will be published to help move research forward.

Our Chief Informatics Officer, Professor John Overington, will be part of the discussions.
