MedCity exists to promote and grow life sciences investment, entrepreneurship and industry across the greater south east of England.
Supported by the Mayor of London, the London Academic Health Science Centres, and research institutes and life sciences organisations across the region, MedCity acts as a front door to the sector. From drug discovery to devices, diagnostics and digital health, MedCity works with industry, researchers and investors looking for partners, infrastructure and expertise across the greater south east of England. They facilitate connectivity across industry, academia and the health service.
MedCity raises awareness globally of the region’s rich life sciences ecosystem, which has more than 3,400 life sciences companies, four of the world’s top ten universities, 19 of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies and world-class research centres including The Francis Crick Institute, Harwell Oxford, and the Wellcome Sanger Institute.
